It's a Tie
Oregon 0 Auburn 0 TCU 0

The first morning Tom Bowl brought an excited group of fans to Frank A. Schafer field for Tom Bowl XXII. One fan yelled "football game, football game" as he ran through the snow in hopes of seeing the game.  Blue skies, a stadium gate that had previously been opened and footprints leading to the field raised hopes that the three teams had shown up for the game but they were no where to be found. Some younger fans even ran out on the field just to confirm the absence of the teams. Attendance: 14.

Six teams in last year's game was three teams to many. Won't do that again. I finished the Lincoln book. It was great. At the end, during the parade to celebrate the end of the war, Gideon Welles noted how everyone was there "Except Abraham Lincoln was not there. All felt this." Since then I've been on bit of a reading tear. Reading is fundamental. The cup finally fell apart. It came apart at the seams. I miss the cup but the new cup is pretty nice. I am at a complete loss for a movie quote of the year. I guess I'll go with this one, "Here's my day so far: went to jail, lost the girl of my dreams and got my butt kicked pretty good. Still, things could be a lot worse. Oh, that's right... I'm falling to my death. Guess they can't." which my daughter suggested. Her  frog is doing fine. Twitter trending Disney Star Trek. My contribution: Jungle Book II: The Wraith of Shere Khan, 103 Dalmatians: The Search for Spot and Herbie the Love Borg. The Lions are better but you sure wouldn't know it. The Earth Two Superman came back, but he was dead and now I guess he's deader. Not happy with that. Nothing came of this Star Wars rumor except that they went and had a whole new set of rumors about another trilogy. You know that George Lucas' least favorite Star Wars movie is the Empire Strikes Back? Figures. I got the air conditioner fixed, in fact, I fixed it myself. I went to New York last week. It was a great time. The highlight was when my sister said that if a rainbow ends in you hand then her fiancé shows up dancing an Irish jig. "Ay Robert." MSU should have been in a BCS bowl. This is the first time in three years we don't have a QB named Colt. But we do have a Dalton for the second consecutive year. Isn't that something. It isn't? I didn't think so either. Besides it's his last name. I saw a preview for TRON: Legacy several months ago. When Flynn's Arcade appeared on stage I think every Dad in the place leaned over to their kids and exclaimed "It's TRON!" and every kid looked up at them and said "What's TRON?"
